BLST100 – Introduction to Black Studies: Course Interest Form
UIC Dual Enrollment Course for CPS High School Students
Please use the form below to indicate your interest in enrolling in UIC’s BLST 100 course, a credit-earning course on UIC’s campus that will provide an introduction to the field of Black studies. Note that you must be a CPS 11th or 12th grade student for the 2026-27 academic year to qualify for the course. Seats in BLST 100 are limited. Should there not be any remaining seats in BLST 100, you will be placed in BLST 103.
Upon completion of the interest form, you will receive an email with additional steps to submit the UIC Dual Enrollment Program Application.
UIC is covering the tuition for the course, so there is no cost to students or their families for the BLST 100 course.
The course will meet on UIC’s campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:00 – 3:15 p.m. The course will run August 31 – December 4, 2026.
Through this initiative, students will also come to UIC’s campus on Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:00-3:15 p.m., for college readiness support programming.
The deadline for completing and submitting the course interest is Friday, June 5, 2026.
